The Heart of the Event: Our Community and Volunteers

Over the past six years, the event has remarkably raised over $620,000 for pediatric research at the American Family Children's Hospital and UW Carbone Cancer Center. At the heart of Casting for Kids is our community and dedicated volunteers like Michael Whitefeather, a passionate Kunes Auto Group employee and volunteer guide at Casting for Kids.

Michael, a father of three daughters, deeply understands the importance of this cause. He finds joy and purpose in being part of a company that rallies for such meaningful causes, like this one.

Special Moments and Memories

One of the most rewarding aspects of the event for Michael is witnessing the children and families who have benefited from past tournaments. The sight of recovering children participating with their families fills everyone involved with hope and motivation. The involvement of NHL players, both current and former, adds a layer of excitement and community spirit, turning this event into a collaborative effort across various sectors.
